Health Hazards: Ozone may pose health risks, including respiratory problems and irritation of the eyes, throat, and lungs. Avoid breathing in ozone directly and ensure good ventilation in the area. The JED 303 should be used outdoors or in a well-ventilated indoor space.

Correct Operation: Always operate the ozone generator following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Misuse or excessive use can result in unsafe ozone levels. It is advised to run the unit for 30 to 60 minutes at a time when the cold plunge will not be used for the next 4 hours.

Timing: Do not operate the ozone generator while someone is in the cold plunge. Allow enough time for the ozone to clear before entering the water—at least 4 hours is recommended.

Emergency Procedures: Be aware of emergency measures in case of accidental ozone exposure. Ensure access to fresh air and seek medical attention if needed. As always, consult with your physician before using this product.

Do I need additional sanitizer when using ozone?

Even with ozone, maintaining proper pH and alkalinity levels is recommended. When water is balanced, ozone can often effectively keep it clean without extra treatments. However, since water quality varies, you may need to adjust your approach to achieve the best results.

When and for how long should I run the ozone generator for my cold plunge?

Use a timer to run the ozone generator for 30 minutes up to no more than 1 hour once per day during a period when the cold plunge will not be used for at least 4 hours. Ideally, schedule this time overnight or after the last plunge of the day.
